Beauty fanatics and skincare lovers have been raving about one of Aldi’s latest drops, likening it to one by luxury brand Liz Earle. Holly Gilbert, known as @hollygilbertt on TikTok, showed off the budget beauty product, complimenting it on its scent and consistency.

Aldi is selling the Lacura Hot Cloth Cleanser, 200ml for just £2.99. That could save you over £30 on Liz Earle’s version. Lacura’s product can be used on all skin types and is vegan. Ingredients include cocoa butter, eucalyptus oil, chamomile extract, rosemary and white tea.

The Lacura Hot Cloth Cleanser, 200ml is available in Aldi stores across the UK now, while stocks last. When trying out the product, Holly said: “Oh my gosh, it literally smells identical. In comparison to a normal flannel - do excuse if this is dirty, I did just use this last night - but you can see the difference in the fabric.

“And I think this (flannel) is typically more softer, but muslins are supposed to be better for your skin.”

Testing out the cleanser, Holly said the product smells “unreal” and its consistency is “exactly the same” as at the luxury rival. “I must admit, my face feels very clean,” she said. “It doesn’t feel sticky at all. It’s not left any sort of residue on my face.

“I really enjoyed using that. This is very nice to use, obviously, the things that it claims to do I can’t see at the minute after using it just once. But in terms of keeping my face clean and making it feel fresh, it’s definitely done its job. If it does any of the benefits the duped item of this does, this is gonna be great.”

Liz Earle’s Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser 200ml is priced at £33, meaning Aldi's version can save you up to 91 per cent. It’s suitable for all skin types and sensitive for people with easily reactive skin.

It has an average 4.9 out of five star rating from 5,532 reviews. Kateturk said: “Love this cleanser. Gentle on my sensitive skin eyes but cleans my skin beautifully.”

Dowmau wrote: “I have been using this for years and love it. Every so often I try cheaper products but always go back to it. Most other products cannot be used near your eyes so you just end up buying more than one product for the same job. Plus they are either too heavy or too harsh on my mature skin. It lasts a long time so in the end value for money. I am often complimented on my skin so that is a bonus!”

While Gracey5 commented: “I’m not convinced by this one. I broke out in spots and eczema! It absorbs into the skin very quickly which I didn’t like. I prefer the oil/gel/milk cleanser. Unfortunately I bought a big bottle!”
