The One Show's Alex Jones has said she feels "so lucky" to have had a break in the sunshine in a new family update. The 47-year-old is preparing to return to the BBC programme after spending some time off over Easter with her husband Charlie Thomson and their three children in Lanzarote.
During their time away, Alex kept her 354K followers up to date, previously telling her fans with young kids that Lanzarote is "perfect for little children," thanks to its "great beaches and restaurants," and that "everything is so easy to get to." Now, in a new update, Alex has shared a string of snaps from their getaway and shared some more information.
Alex wrote: "Feel so lucky to have enjoyed some sunny weather together in Lanzarote over Easter. It is such a brilliant island for young children. Everything is very easy but there is also plenty to do to keep all ages occupied."

Alex then listed her highlights, which included Timanfaya National Park and the bus tour, Submarine Safaris Lanzarote, Puerto Calero, which is Lanzarote's original marina, and Papagayo Beach. She also recommended Mirador de las Salinas restaurant for "gorgeous food and view," and Los Hervideros.
She added: "We stayed at a lovely villa that was very reasonable and had everything you need and more that we found on @vrbo and I’m sure the lovely owner, Helen will add a link if she sees this."
The Welsh presenter accompanied the post with a string of beachside and coastal snaps, which showed her children playing in the sand and enjoying sunshine walks. In another picture, Alex looked stunning as she walked out of the sea in a bright red swimsuit that she matched with a pair of sunglasses.
Lots of fans commented on the post, as one wrote: "Lovely place for special memories," while another added: "Best times - family holidays - memories for ever."
