BBC’s The Apprentice aired its iconic interview episode on Thursday, April 11 – and as ever, fan favourite Claude Littner returned, much to fans' joy. There to quash the candidates’ dreams and aspirations, Lord Alan Sugar’s former aide interrogated the five remaining hopefuls.
Claude has been on The Apprentice since the show began in 2005. Between 2015 and 2019 the American-born business executive was one of Lord Sugar’s aides on the show.
During his latest appearance Claude grilled Tre – who you can read more about here – and no sooner than he sat down to be interviewed, the 74-year-old ripped him to shreds. Upon returning to the others Tre detailed his brutal experience of Claude. Claude called another candidate’s business plan “the rantings of a lunatic”.

Taking to social media platform X, formerly Twitter, fans of The Apprentice shared their love of Claude on the show. “Claude ripping Trey apart… amazing,” wrote one person.
A second commented: “Bring Claude back Full Time please!” A third said: “bring back our Claude as one of the main advisors… sorry no offence to Tim but he just doesn’t have the same evil Bond villain energy that Claude has.”
A fourth shared: “Claude is brutal! #TheApprentice”. And another said: “@claudelittner on fire tonight "frankly these are the rantings of a lunatic”. A further person simply wrote: "Classic".
Claude took a hiatus from The Apprentice for its 16th series due to injuries sustained from a cycling accident in 2021, with series one winner Tim Campbell taking over. Claude returned to the show for the first episode of the 17th series, but was not well enough to continue. His place was taken by Campbell for the following 10 episodes.
