The best photos from Grand National Ladies Day as thousands revel and fights break out
It was another busy day of racing while three women were crowned Aintree's best dressed

Aintree Racecourse was awash with colour on Friday for the second day of the Grand National Festival.
Ladies Day is just as much about the fashion and glamour as it is about the racing, and the thousands of racegoers who descended on Aintree didn't disappoint. From towering hats, even taller high heels and luminous dresses, there were eye-catching outfits everywhere you looked.
Olympians and football legends were among those in attendance as they watched seven dramatic races unfold on the penultimate day of the festival.
Of course, it is the precursor to the main event, with the 2024 Grand National getting underway at 4pm on Saturday as Corach Rambler bids for back-to-back wins in the iconic steeplechase.
You can find the best photos from another eventful day at Aintree below.
As well as the glamour, there were unfortunately ugly scenes as fighting broke out in front of stunned onlookers, which you can read about here.
