Drivers are being warned of closures and diversions affecting roads around Wales this weekend and for the following week. Some delays will be moderate and others severe but most of the closures for maintenance and re-surfacing are overnight and early morning.
This is is the latest list of highest priority alerts for the motorway and trunk road network in Wales and up to 20 miles into England from Traffic Wales. Some are due to end this weekend while the Menai suspension bridge works will continue well into next year.

A44
Continued roadworks on the A44 at Llanbadarn Fawr until March 22 will affect traffic going in both directions between 7pm and 6.30am each day.
A470
Re-surfacing work on the A470 at Rhayader will affect traffic in both directions with local diversions in place until March 23 between 7pm and 6am every day.
Re-surfacing on starting on the A470 between Mallwyd and Cemmaes from March 18 to March 27 will affect traffic in both directions with road closures in place from 7pm to 7am.
Road improvement works start on the A470 southbound between Brecon (West) and Nant-ddu for 10 days from March 19. Delays are expected with a lane closed and temporary traffic lights on the A4059 between 8am and 5pm each day.
A40
A road closure will be in place northbound at the A40 Raglan to Gibraltar Tunnels while resurfacing work is carried out from March 12 to 16 from 8pm at night t 6am. The onslip road will also be closed at these times.
The A40 will be shut in Both directions at Glangrwyney for resurfacing work and local diversions will be in place from 7pm to 7am until March 23.
A55
The A55 will be shut for overnight resurfacing work between junction 11 at Llandygai to junction 12 at Tal-y-bont between 8pm and 6am from March 14 to 16.
Continued maintenance work will see the A55 shut westbound at junction 34 Ewloe Loop and the offslip will be closed from 7pm to 6am from until March 29. Local diversions will be in place during the closures between 7pm and 6am each day.
Maintenance work will also see another section of the A55 shut eastbound at junctiom 34 Ewloe Loop to Junction 38 Chester between 7pm and 7am until March 31.
Roadworks which saw the A55 shut A55 overnight eastbound at junction at Llandygai to junction 12 at Tal-y-bont between 8pm and 6am are due to end on March 16. This will be followed by weekend resurfacing work overnight on March 16- 17 on the A55 westbound at junction 12 at Tal-y-bont to junction 11 at Llandygai between 8pm and 6am.
The A55 westbound junction 11 Llandygai offslip/onslip will also be closed overnight from 8pm to 6am on the night of March 17 to 18.. Severe direction is expected on the A55 southbound at junction J18 Llandudno junction with the southbound lane closure on A546 Ffordd 6G at Tesco/Cineworld roundabout until March 21.
Traffic disruption is expected to be moderate on the A55 in both directions at Britannia Bridge to junction 7A Llanfair PG while construction work is carried out and a lane will be closed overnight from March 18 to April 4 from 6pm to 6am each day.
A4060
Emergency roadworks which have shut the A4060 southbound from the A4102 junction to the end of the A4060 will run from 8pm to 6am on March 16.
A4232
The A4232 will be shut at the northbound A48 Interchange to M4 junction 33 at Capel Llanilltern for maintenance work from 8pm to 6am on March 16.
A465
A road closure will be in place on the A465 southbound from Glynneath to Cwmgwrach and northbound from Cwmgwrach to Glynneath for maintenance work from 8pm to 6am ending on March 16.
A487
The A487 will be shut in both directions at Aberaeron while resurfacing work take place until March 29.
A5
On going improvement work on the Menai Suspension Bridge is still causing severe disruption. A weight limit of 7.5 tonnes will be in place until September 1, 2025.
M4
Roadworks will see the M4 northbound at junction 33 Capel Llanilltern shut for the last day between 8pm and 6pm on March 16. The M4 will also be closed westbound at junction 41 Pentyla/Baglan to junction 42 Earlswood for maintenance work and resurfacing work between 8pm and 6am until March 21.
