Unless you really love cleaning, keeping the house spotless can be a time consuming and irritating task, but Amazon has dropped the price of a cleaning product that shoppers say removes "the dread" and "fuss" from one chore. Mopping up the floors is that hateful chore and Flash's Powermop has scored 4.5 out of five stars in over 18,000 reviews on Amazon.
The battery-powered button sprays powermop cleaning solution and promises to loosen and lift away even stubborn dirt, grease and grime. It's Powermop Absorbing Pads fixed to the bottom absorb and lock away dirt, grease and grime leaving floors clean and dry. Amazon are currently selling the Powermop for £21 rather than £36.

One of the five-star reviewers said that the Flash product "takes the dread out of floor cleaning," and added: " The power mop is good for quickly cleaning the floor without having to mess about getting the mop bucket out. Definitely less effort." Another said that the mop was their "new best friend," explaining further: "Oh my goodness, how wonderful it is. I have dogs so use the micro pads to pick up their hair then attach a pad that comes with the mop and cleaned all the downstairs floors within 20 mins. The floors come up clean and shiny, no streaks!
"The mop is so light and easily manoeuvrable. Floors dry so incredibly quickly. Pads change easy, no fussing about. I can’t rate this mop high enough. I’m 73 and have arthritis so if it is easy for me to use everybody should be comfortable with it."
A shopper who rated it lower, three stars, said that the spray function stopped working for them. Another added that it was pricey to keep up with the refill, adding: "Mop is fine, however, the little bottle of detergent lasted no time at all and isn't refillable. Welcome to the layer cake. Also the pads don't last any time at all so it's money out like no ones business."
If you're after something a little cheaper for cleaning floors, Tesco has the Flash Speed Mop starter kit and four pads for £11.50. Sainsbury's is also selling the Powermop kit for £30.
