BBC Morning Live star Gethin Jones took to Instagram to share that he reunited with a former co-star while filming an upcoming episode of Richard Osman’s House of Games. The 46-year-old presenter, who was born in Cardiff, revealed that he was currently working with fellow presenter Kate Thornton with whom he appeared on ITV’s 71 Degrees North in 2010.
Posting a video of himself, comedian Tiff Stevenson and Kate, Gethin said: “Filming House of Games today with Tiff, who I've never met before.” He then introduced Kate to the camera.
“This is Katie, Kate Thornton. Last time I saw Kate was in the Arctic Circle about 15 years ago.” He then joked: “And that's another story!” before adding: “71 Degrees North. Do you remember that show? Do you remember how cold we were?”

Kate, who was also the previous host of The X Factor, confirmed: “Yeah, it was so cold that people could do wees and they would freeze.” The pair hosted the first series of 71 Degrees North in 2010 but were replaced by new BBC Radio 2 host Paddy McGuinness and Charlotte Jackson for the second series.
The show followed 10 celebrities who attempted to make it to the North Cape at 71 degrees north. At the end of each episode, the celebrity who performed worst on that day's challenge was eliminated. Welsh rugby player Gavin Henson came runner-up in the first series.
Earlier this week Gethin showcased one of his hobbies on social media as he revealed that he’d become “obsessed” with golf. Read the full story on that here.
