I Am Maximus has won the 2024 Grand National .
The 7/1 joint favourite, trained by Willie Mullins, was ridden to victory by jockey Paul Townend
Delta Work and Minella Indo were in second and third respectively, with Galvin finishing fourth and Welsh-trained Kitty's Light claiming fifth place.
All of the horses and jockeys who took part in the race were confirmed to be OK, with Mac Tottie, ridden by Welsh jockey James Bowen, treated by vets as a precaution. Last year's winner, Corach Rambler, fell at the first fence in a big shock for punters, but he and jockey Derek Fox were both OK.
32 runners started the race after the late withdrawal of Chambard and Run Wild Fred, who were declared as non-runners. The number of horses had already been cut from 40 to 34 this year to improve safety after four horses died at last year's meeting.
This year's Grand National festival had already suffered two fatalities, however. Gionvinco died after breaking his neck in a fall in the opening race of the day on Friday, with Pikar also losing his life after falling in the day's final race.
A huge security operation was in place at Aintree racecourse after last year's race was delayed when Animal Rising protestors stormed the racecourse. Some tried to glue themselves to fences on the course, while police made 118 arrests. However, the group did not attend Aintree this year after issuing a statement.
"A year ago we delayed the Grand National and made headlines across the world, with over 100 Animal Rising supporters arrested as we protested the cruelty of horse racing," they said. "This year, we want to let Aintree know - we don't need to be there to affect change."
You can find the full results and latest news from Aintree below. The race will be shown live on ITV 1.

All horses OK
Relief at Aintree as the Jockey Club confirms all horses and jockeys are OK after the National.
Mac Tottie, ridden by Welsh jockey James Bowen, pulled up towards the end and was immediately assessed by vets.
However, the Jockey Club say the horse walked itself into the horse ambulance, with no further concerns reported about any other horses or jockeys.

Second horse confirmed to have died
More tragic news as a second horse is confirmed to have died at the Grand National
Seven-year-old Pikar lost his life during the final race of Ladies Day on Friday. Ridden by Stephen Mulqueen in the Aintree Handicap Hurdle, the horse fell at the penultimate hurdle and broke his neck. He was treated on the track by the racecourse's veterinary team but sadly died from his injuries.
Pikar's death came hours after Gionvinco, also seven, was killed in the first race of the day. An animal rights campaign group says it is "disgusted" at the tragedies.

The Welsh horse everyone wants to win the Grand National
There's a Welsh-trained horse competing in this year’s race, and a lot of people really want him to win.
Kitty's Light is the one Welsh-trained horse in the race and is 12/1 with bookmakers. There's also a really inspiring back story to the horse involving trainer Christian Williams and his sick daughter Betsy. You can read about that here.
Elsewhere, there are two Welsh jockeys riding in the race.
Sean Bowen, 26, has won some of the biggest races in recent years and placed 4th riding Noble Yeats at the national last year. In 2015, in his first year racing he rode 51 winners.
James Bowen, 22, rode 57 winners in his first season and was the youngest ever jockey to ride the winner at the Welsh Grand National in 2018, aged 16.
Sean will ride The Goffer this year, an outsider owned by Irish trainer Gordon Elliot. (Odds: 66/1)
Jamie will ride one of his father’s horses at the national this year - Mac Tottie. (Odds: 100/1)
