A free music festival is being held in Cardiff on the weekend of March 23 and 24 with local artists performing in some of the city's best-known locations. The council says City Soundtrack is "the first of many" musical events in the coming months that will showcase Cardiff's home-grown talent.
The weekend's artists will straddle genres from drum 'n' bass to Welsh-language folk, from reggae to brass bands and from string quartets to an "acoustic comedy calypso and ska" trio. The event runs from midday to 4pm on Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24.
Performances will take place at Cardiff Castle, Churchill Way, Castle Arcade, Cardiff Market (St Mary Street entrance), Central Square and the Hayes.
