ITV The Chase presenter Bradley Walsh was surprised by one contestant's television past. Kathleen, from Sheffield, revealed she'd appeared on Celebrity Carols at Christmas alongside Welsh singer Aled Jones.

Bradley was impressed by Kathleen's secret screen time as he introduced her to viewers at home and The Menace, who eventually knocked her and three other contestants out of the game in a difficult episode.

Introducing herself, Kathleen said: "I'm a retired civil servant," which prompted Bradley to ask: "What do you do to relax now you're retired?"

"I'm in a choir and we've been on television a couple of times," Kathleen responded. "Ooh what show?" Bradley then asked.

"We were on Celebrity Carols at Christmas and performed with Aled Jones," Kathleen said. "Great," an impressed Bradley responded.

Kathleen added: "I also do reading with children in school that need a little extra help reading and I'm a volunteer for the Make A Wish foundation." Bradley replied: "Very good for you, excellent stuff," before kicking off Kathleen's round.

However, it wasn't meant to be with Kathleen getting caught by Darragh Ennis despite taking the lower offer. Her boot meant former science teacher Ollie was left to battle it out against The Menace on his own in the final round.

Sadly, it wasn't meant to be with The Menance catching him despite Ollie's "valiant" attempt to win the £4,000 jackpot. You can keep up to date with the latest TV and showbiz news by signing up to the newsletter here.
