An 80-year-old man has died following an incident at a property. Gloucestershire Police attended an address on Welland Close in Cheltenham on Sunday after being told a man had been seriously hurt.

The elderly man was found at the property but declared dead at the scene. Two men, aged 63 and 75, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesman said: "Police were called to a property on Welland Court at around 7pm with a report that a man had been seriously injured. An 80-year-old man was found to have sustained fatal wounds within a property and was declared dead at the scene.

"Two men, aged 63 and 75 and both from Cheltenham, remain in police custody while enquiries continue. There is currently a scene guard in place at a property while officers remain at the scene.

"Officers from the Major Crime Investigation Team are in the early stages of an investigation and are appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened or has information to come forward."
