Strictly Come Dancing star Johannes Radebe has broken his silence after his partner on the show in 2021, John Whaite, revealed that he “fell in love” with him. The 36-year-old dancer, who was recently confirmed to be starring in Kinky Boots the Musical, discusses the pair's relationship with Jonathan Ross in this weekend’s episode of The Jonathan Ross Show.
"He lifted me like I was a piece of feather. I'm a well-built man and I've always lifted women and I know the level of care that goes into that," Johannes shares on the ITV show, which airs on Saturday, April 13. "For me to experience it for the first time was quite special and I have to thank John Whaite for being really caring with me."
Johannes adds: "He was quite patient while I was trying to figure it out. The truth is for the first time in my life I've had somebody say to me 'I've got you.'"

In an interview with The Times last year, Great British Bake Off star John confessed: "I fell in love with [Johannes]. I can't speak for him because I'm not allowed to, legally but it felt like there was love there."
Once he had concluded his time on Strictly, John and his partner Paul "spent some time apart" with Paul returning to his parents' home. Describing it as a "sense of loss" in his autobiography Dancing on Eggshells, John distanced himself from Johannes so that he and Paul could attempt to rekindle their romance.
John and Paul wed earlier this year. Speaking about his relationship with John last year, Johannes stressed the "platonic nature of their connection" and promised that they would remain "friends for life”.
