A young woman has died of her injuries a week after a fatal crash. South Wales Police has confirmed that a 25-year-old woman who was injured in a road traffic collision on Swansea Road, Merthyr Tydfil, on April 5 has died.
The crash happened at around 11.45pm and involved a single car, a white Audi S3, which was travelling along Swansea Road from Trago Mills and in the general direction of the A465.
Police said at the time that a woman had sustained life-threatening injuries but have now confirmed she has died of her injuries. The force said her family has been informed and is being supported by specially trained police officers.
Officers from South Wales Police’s serious collision unit are continuing to appeal for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have any CCTV footage of the incident – or driving beforehand – to get in touch.
